Wilson Dunmire Obituary

   Wilson R. "Ray" Dunmire, 88, formerly of Aspen Drive, Lewistown, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 18, 2021 at Hearthside in State College.
   Born Aug. 24, 1932 in Ryde, he was a son of the late Oliver Wilson and Anna Mildred (Moist) Dunmire.  His wife, Betty L. (Donahey) Dunmire, whom he married Feb. 25, 1956, survives.
   Also surviving are:  two daughters, Cathy A. (Dunmire) Wilson and husband William of Lewistown, Connie L. (Dunmire) Wise Reeder and husband Chester of Lewistown; three brothers, William Dunmire of McVeytown, Carl Dunmire and wife Barb of Lewistown, Glenn Dunmire and wife Ruth of McVeytown; two grandchildren, Tasha L. Zook and husband Norman, Ray E. Wise; and one great granddaughter, Alaina Zook.
   Preceding him in death was a daughter, Cheryl L. (Dunmire) Beaver; two brothers, Jason and Cecil Dunmire.
   An over the road truck driver he drove for Glen H. Brower Trucking, and later as an independent owner operator.
   Ray was a member of Centre Union Church in Yeagertown.
   He enjoyed woodworking, model trucks and trains, and most of all time spent with his family.
   A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2021 at Harshbarger Funeral Home, 3 South Market St., McVeytown, with Pastor Kurtis Swisher officiating.  Interment will be in Juniata Memorial Park, Lewistown.
   A viewing will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service Tuesday at the funeral home.
   Memorial contributions may be made to Centre Union Church, 200 Greenwood Ave., Yeagertown, PA  17099; or to Grane Hospice Care, 115 Union Ave., Altoona, PA  16602
