William L. Boaz

   William L. Boaz, 88, of State Route 103 North, Lewistown, and formerly of Milroy, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 24, 2022 at his home.
   Born Dec. 12, 1933 in Mattawana, he was a son of the late Jesse L. and Ethel M. (Miller) Boaz.  
   Also preceding him in death was his wife, Mary Ellen (Berich) Thompson Boaz; and a brother, Edwin S. Boaz.
   Surviving are: his longtime companion, Joyce A. (Fisher) Miller of Lewistown; a sister, Susan M. Boaz of Lewistown; a nephew, Chad E. Boaz and fiancee Catherine Paige; a niece, Angela J. Bell and husband Steve; and a great nephew, Ethan F. Bell.
   Bill was employed at Fisher Electronics in Milroy for 37 years, and later worked at Corvette America for 14 years.
   He was a member of the McVeytown United Methodist Church.
   An avid hunter and fisherman, he also enjoyed gardening and time spent with his many friends.
   A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 29, 2022 at the Mattawana Cemetery in McVeytown with Rev. Jeffrey Fisher officiating.
