Obituary

  Virginia M. Jury Moist, 85, formerly of State Route 103 South, McVeytown, passed away on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at Greenwood Village in Lewistown.
   Born March 2, 1937 in Mt. Union, she was a daughter of the late Guy and Lavina (Moore) Goshorn.  Her first husband, George Jury, preceded her in death.  Her second husband, Blair E. Moist, survives.
   Also surviving are:  five stepchildren and their families, R. Scott Moist and wife Lori of Strodes Mills, Tony L. Moist and companion John Galipeau of Bellefonte, Joan L. Hartley of Jackson, Arkansas, Brian K. Moist and wife Angela of McVeytown, Cindy J. Sacra and husband Allen of Tucson, Arizona.
   She was preceded in death by six siblings:  Guy, Violet, Margaret, and three infants.
   A homemaker, Virginia was a member of the Ryde United Methodist Church.
   A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 21, 2023 at the Ryde United Methodist Church with Pastor Faith Anderson officiating.  Private interment will be in Mt. Union Cemetery.
   Memorial contributions may be made to the Ryde United Methodist Church, 80 Ryde Rd., McVeytown, PA  17051.
