Vickie L. Varner, 65, of Lockport Road, Lewistown, went to be with the Lord on Monday, November 25, 2024 at her home.
Born March 24, 1959 in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late Herman P. and Ella Jean (Lane) Wertz. Her husband, James K. Varner, whom she married Jan. 7, 1978, survives.
Also surviving are: two daughters, Lori A. Shawver and husband Anthony of Reedsville, April D. Varner and companion Curtis Smith of Lewistown; four grandchildren, Jacob Shawver, Cody Shawver, Justice Lyter, and Jubilee Smith; and a very special niece, Tammy Wertz, of McVeytown.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Baby Boy Lyter, in 2011; and a sister-in-law, Nancy Wertz.
A homemaker, she also had worked for Supportive Concepts and County Mobile Homes, both of Lewistown.
Vickie attended Centre Union Church in Yeagertown and the Salvation Army Home League in Lewistown.
She always looked forward to the Christmas season and enjoyed flower gardening and camping with her family.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 29, 2024 at Centre Union Church in Yeagertown with Pastor Shane Varner officiating. Interment will be in Mattawana Cemetery, McVeytown.
A viewing will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service Friday at the church.
