Valerie J. (Bennett) Krepps

 Valerie J. Krepps, 75, of State Route 103 North, Lewistown, passed away on Friday, April 14, 2023 at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.

   Born Aug. 9, 1947 in Derry Twp., she was a daughter of the late Robert Bennett and the late Lolita M. Jackson.  Her husband, Guy W. Krepps, preceded her in death on Jan. 29, 2022.

   Also preceding her in death were two sons, Richard W. Kearns and Eric S. Kearns; a sister, Doris A. (Harshbarger) Bratton; a niece, Roxanne (Bratton) Yoder; and a great nephew, Joseph R. Damicantonio.

   Surviving are:  a son, Matthew W. Krepps and companion Hope of Harrisburg; a granddaughter, Madison Krepps, two nieces, Vonnie Damicantonio and Raylene Cohenour, both of Belleville; and a great nephew, Eric S. Yoder of South Mountain.

   A homemaker, she also worked as a nurse's aide for many years in local nursing homes.

   She was a member of the Granville United Methodist Church.

   Valerie was always a sweet, gentle person and was known affectionately to her nieces as Aunt Ben. 

   Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
