Sharon Louise Varner, 69, of State Route 103 South, McVeytown, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.
Born July 30, 1955 in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late Harry and LaRue (Kratzer) Huffman. Her husband, Melvin T. Varner, whom she married May 7, 1997, survives.
Also surviving are: a son, Eric K. Randolph and wife Belinda of Lewistown; a daughter, Ashley D. Heim and husband Nicholas of Beavertown; four stepdaughters, Melissa Varner of Lewistown, Susan Fraine and husband Jerrod of Lewistown, Sandy Metzger and husband Jeffrey of Siglerville, Karen Dunn and husband Josh of Milroy; four sisters, Mary Frances Huffman of Lewistown, Pearl D. Ross of Lewistown, Joan A. Mowry and husband Dennis of Lewistown, Wanda F. Shields of McVeytown; and 14 grandchildren.
Preceding her in death was a brother, David L. Huffman, in 2000.
She was formerly employed at Scotty's Fashions and Trinity Plastics in Lewistown.
Sharon was a member of the Pine Glen Church of the Brethren. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and attending the Belleville Sale.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 11, 2025 at the Pine Glen Church of the Brethren, 61 Pine Glen Rd., Lewistown, with Pastor Connie Maclay officiating. Interment will be in Pine Glen Cemetery.
A viewing will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service Saturday at the church.
