Sharon L. Bieniek, 59, of McVeytown, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, May 8, 2025 at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.
Born Feb. 3, 1966 in Mt. Union, she was a daughter of Joanne G. (McConaughey) Grove and the late John C. Grove Sr. Her husband, Richard B. Bieniek, preceded her in death on Oct. 18, 1997.
In addition to her father and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Doris J. Williams.
Surviving are: her boyfriend, Robert A. O'Hara of Lewistown; five daughters, Angela N. Miller of Lewistown, Alysa M. Renninger of McVeytown, Samantha L. Bieniek and companion Ryan McMullen of McVeytown, Kylie M. Bleyer of Milroy, Desiree A. Bleyer and fiancé Nathaniel G. Goss of Beavertown; three siblings, Beverly A. Gavin of McVeytown, Connie M. Pecht and husband Brent of Lewistown, John C. Grove Jr. and wife Cheryl of Shirleysburg; 13 grandchildren, Jackson L. Renninger, Swaylin R. Renninger, Declan W. Renninger, Oaklyn S. Eby, Cristian E. Guerrero,, Liam S. Guerrero, Dawsie M. Miller, Braxton S. McMullen, Madilynn Bleyer, Traisynn Murphy, Zaielynn Murphy, Emberleigh Goss, and Brynleigh Goss.
A U.S. Army veteran of 13 years, she served as a supply specialist in Germany and later served in the Army Reserves.
She was employed as a home health aide for PRN Medical Staffing and also worked as a commercial cleaner.
Sharon enjoyed her bowling league at Lewistown Lanes, and loved time with her children and grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 17, 2025 at Harshbarger Funeral Home, 3 South Market St., McVeytown.
