Shamara Nichole "Sam" Nelson

   Heaven welcomed Shamara "Sam" Nelson, 25, of Lewistown, who passed away unexpectedly on Friday, March 15, 2024 due to complications from cancer.

   She is survived by her mother and father, Doreen and Charles Pent; siblings, Charles Pent of Lewistown, Daniel Pent of State College, Elizabeth Stricker of Lewistown, Kaleb Pent of Lewistown, Jacob Pent, stationed in Poland with the U.S. Army, and Christian Pent at home.

   Preceding her in death was a brother, Isaiah Pent.

   Shamara was born in Indiana, Pennsylvania, and attended Lewistown High School.

   She had a huge love for music and books; and always managed to bring a smile to everyone's faces.  We could best describe Sam as spunky and social.
