Sara A. Yoder, 82, of Canal Street, McVeytown, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at her home.
Born Nov. 14, 1939 in Belleville, she was a daughter of the late Alphie S. and Bertha E. (Kauffman) Glick. Her husband, Raymond R. Yoder, whom she married Aug. 2, 1958, preceded her in death on Oct. 20, 2018.
Also preceding her in death was a son, Mark E. Yoder; four brothers, Norman, Jonathan, Frank, and Paul Glick; three sisters, Verna Morris, Priscilla Yoder, and Elizabeth "Bessie" Peachey.
Surviving are: a daughter, Rhoda E. Nolt and husband Glenn of McVeytown; a son, Arlen R. Yoder and wife Debbie of Imler; a daughter-in-law, Lois (Hengst) Yoder of Imler; a brother, Jeff Glick of Williamsport; five grandchildren, Gwendolyn Nolt, Charity Nolt, Heidi Yoder, Jonathan Yoder, Lane Yoder; five great grandchildren, Morgan, Emma, Owen, Colton, and Frances.
Sara was a homemaker and a member of the Strodes Mills Mennonite Church.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 27, 2022 at the Strodes Mills Mennonite Church, 7131 U.S. Highway 522 South, McVeytown, with Ministers Sheldon Yoder and John Reeser officiating. Interment will be in Strodes Mills Mennonite Cemetery.
A viewing will be held from 9:30 a.m.until the time of service Thursday at the church.
