Samuel W. "Duswick" Weaver

  Samuel W. "Duswick" Weaver, 77, of Swartz Valley Road, Richfield, passed away on Thursday, June 2, 2022 at the Richfield Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.
   Born April 3, 1945 in McVeytown, he was a son of the late Wilbur A. and Laura E. (Fultz) Weaver.  His wife, Lavonda F. (Spade) Weaver, preceded him in death on Feb. 16, 2020.
   Also preceding him in death was a brother, Clark E. Weaver.
   Surviving are:  three children, Brian W. Weaver and wife Brandy of Lewistown, Barry D. Weaver of Lewistown, Samantha N. Weaver of New Cumberland; six siblings, Pauline C. Grove and husband Samuel of Lewistown, Evelyn M. Kerstetter and husband Gary of Millerstown, Velma J. Steele of Lewistown, Linda S. Weader and husband Greg of McClure, Connie R. Wilt and husband Steven of Richfield, Ronald L. Weaver and wife Margaret of Lewistown; four grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
   A U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War, he served from 1967 to 1970.
   He retired from Dean Foods in Belleville with 28 years of service.
   An avid hunter and fisherman, he also enjoyed travelling to Canada and the shore.
   A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, June 6, 2022 at Harshbarger Funeral Home, 3 South Market St., McVeytown, with Pastor Darvin Donahey officiating.  Interment will be in Mattawana Cemetery, McVeytown.
   A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, June 5, 2022 at the funeral home.
