Ronald Pecht Obituary

   Ronald C. "Snip" Pecht, 83, of Twin Hollow Road, McVeytown, passed away on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at his home.
   Born June 16, 1939 in McVeytown, he was a son of the late Charles W. and Hazel P. (Kauffman) Pecht.  His wife, Sarah A. "Susie" (Rodgers) Pecht, whom he married Nov. 30, 1957, survives.  
   Also surviving are:  two daughters, Jill Pecht of McVeytown, Jayme Spickler and husband Jeffrey of McVeytown; two brothers, Darl L. "Pete" Pecht and wife Velma of Lewistown, Robert L. "Pork" Pecht and wife Patricia of McVeytown; three grandchildren, Chad Spickler and wife Angel of McVeytown, Kati Cruz and husband Allan of McVeytown, Emily Wian and husband Evan of Smyrna Tennessee; two great grandchildren, Liam and Ellie Cruz; and numerous nieces and nephews.
   Preceding him in death was an infant son, Jon Charles Pecht in 1958; and two brothers, William "Bill" Pecht and his wife Ethel, Wilbur "Dick" Pecht and his wife Diann.
   Snip served in the Pennsylvania National Guard for six years.
   A self-employed truck driver for many years, he later worked for Noerr Motor Freight before retiring from Penn DOT.
   He was a member of the McVeytown Presbyterian Church and a life member of the Atkinson Mills Sportsmen's Club.  He also served on the Mattawana Cemetery Board for many years.
   Snip enjoyed hunting and loved fishing, taking several trips every year to Canada with family and friends to fish.  He also spent a lot of time cutting firewood.
   A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 4, 2023 at the McVeytown Presbyterian Church with Pastor Kim Cartwright officiating.
   In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the McVeytown Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 323, McVeytown, PA  17051.
