Ronald Earl John "Moose" Krepps Sr.

 Ronald Earl John Moose" Krepps, Sr., formerly of McVeytown passed away at his
residence in Austin, PA on April 19, 2025 at the age of 83. He was born on
February 1, 1942 and was the son of the late Rufus and Dora (Buchanan) Krepps . He was also
preceded in death by his brothers Raymond, Clyde, Harold and Carl, and his
sisters Gretta Byler and Alma Rhodes. He was married to the love of his life,
Patricia Louise (Brubaker) for nearly 47 years, on January 14, 1964 who preceded
him in death in 2010. Ron and Pat lived life to the fullest and mutually enjoyed
camping and hunting trips, including bear hunting in Canada. They vacationed in
Alaska, Hawaii, Arizona, Texas, Nevada, Florida and Maine. He was also preceded
in death by his children Wendy Klinger and Jeffrey Krepps, both of McVeytown.
He is survived by his sisters Marian Woodward, of Sequim, WA, Audrey Ranck of
Lewistown, and Susie Bratton of McVeytown, as well as his children Billie Kuhn of
Lewistown, Robin Mathias of Rockwall, TX, Ronald Krepps, Jr. of Emporium and
Kelly Gomez of Lewistown. Ronald was survived by numerous grandchildren,
great grandchildren and one great-great grandson.
    Ronald was a career truck driver and provided lawn care services in his retirement
years. He was an avid hunter, outdoorsman and had a great sense of humor. He
was a lifetime member of the Austin Costello Sportsmen Club and Austin VFW
Post 7810.
    Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 25, 2025 at Harshbarger Funeral Home, 3 South Market St., McVeytown, officiated by Jill Pecht, with visitation beginning at 10am and services at 11am. Interment will be held immediately following at the Spring Run Church of the Brethren Cemetery for family members. A Celebration of Life luncheon will be served at the Pine Glen Church of the Brethren beginning at 12:30pm.
