Robert P. "Peanut" Kauffman, 83, of U.S. Highway 522 South, McVeytown, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at his home.
Born Nov. 27, 1937 in Mattawana, he was a son of the late Calvin Ralph and Mary Margaret (Huffman) Kauffman. His wife, Rosemary (Powell) Kauffman, whom he married Oct. 20, 1956, preceded him in death on March 24, 2015.
Also preceding him in death was four children, Cindy Lou Fagan, Michelle Denise Kauffman, Michael P. Kauffman, infant son David Kauffman; a sister, Linda L. Grove; and a brother, William R. Kauffman.
Surviving are: a daughter, Bobbie J. Eddinger and husband Samuel Sr. of Lewistown.; a son, Timothy A. Kauffman Sr. and companion Donnis Bookwalter of Mapleton Depot; seven siblings, Shirley Jean Adams of Mattawana, Richard R. Kauffman and wife Shirley of Lewistown, Connie L. Grove and husband Melvin, Donald H. Kauffman and wife Cheryl, Betty J. Price, Bradley C. Kauffman and wife Ann, all of McVeytown, Sandra Sue Kauffman of Lewistown; nine grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; and five great great grandchildren.
A retired truck driver, he formerly drove for C.O. Sunderland Trucking in McVeytown, and as an owner operator for Aero Trucking in Monroeville.
Peanut was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed spending time with his family and at his camp, Rhodie House, in Longfellow.
Services will be private.
