Robert L. Foust

   Robert L. Foust, 89, of McVeytown, passed away on Saturday, September 21, 2024 at home with his loving wife by his side.

   He was born Sept. 1, 1935 in McVeytown, a son of the late R. Roy and Rosa Ethel (Kimberly) Foust.  Bob was also preceded in death by his daughter, D'Ann Foust Mowery, who passed away Sept 25, 2022.

   He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Helen (Donahey) Foust; a son, Rex Foust and wife Lori; a son-in-law, Mark Mowery; two grandchildren, Jill Foust and Alex Mowery; and two step grandsons, Tyler and Eric Mowery.

   Also surviving is his "adopted daughter", Angela Crisswell,her husband, Jim, and her daughters, Kadyn and Patyn.

   He was a proud and faithful Air Force Veteran, serving from 1955 until he was honorably discharged in 1963.

   Bob was a member of the Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church and was one of three, along with the late Melvin Adams and the late Dick Bender, who founded and started the McVeytown Ambulance Association.  For over 30 years he was an EMT and CPR state instructor.  In Bob's honor, a tribute was given at the McVeytown Fire Hall on Sept. 22, 2024.

   The family would like to send a special thank you to McVeytown Ambulance, Fame Ambulance, and AseraCare Hospice for the help and service they provided to Bob in this difficult time.

   A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2024 at Harshbarger Funeral Home, 3 South Market St., McVeytown, with Pastor Darvin Donahey officiating.  Interment will be in Mattawana Cemetery, McVeytown.

   A viewing will be held from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service Wednesday at the funeral home.
