Paul A. Lewis, 95, of McVeytown, went to be with the Lord on Monday, July 1, 2024 at William Penn Healthcare in Lewistown.
Born Nov. 13, 1928 in McVeytown, he was a son of the late Ira and Cora (Allison) Lewis. His wife, Faye J. (Keister) Lewis, whom he married May 3, 1949, preceded him in death on Aug. 7, 2018.
Also preceding him in death was a son, Dale R. Lewis; and a brother, Howard Lewis.
Surviving are: a daughter, Susan E. Gro and husband Dale of McVeytown; a sister, Mary Johnson of Lewisburg; two granddaughters, Cathy J. Shaffer and husband Ken, Melissa D. Gro and companion Robert Leitzel; five great grandchildren, Kristen and fiance Chris, Kirsten, Kallie, Kennen, and Kayden.
Paul was a dairy farmer and livestock hauler for many years.
He was a member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church in Lockport.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 8, 2024 at Harshbarger Funeral Home, 3 South Market St., McVeytown, with Rev. Rick Bender officiating. Interment will be in Spring Run Cemetery, McVeytown.
A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, July 7, 2024 at the funeral home, and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service on Monday.
