Norman Miller Obituary

   Norman L. Miller, 74, of Bossinger Road, Lewistown, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Sept. 25, 2021 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
   Born Jan. 16, 1947 in Mattawana, he was a son of the late Harold B. and Grace (Swartz) Miller.  His wife, Anita J. (Snook) Miller, whom he married July 17, 1965, survives.
   Also surviving are:  two sons, Gregory Scott Miller, Glenn T. Miller and wife Jenny, both of Lewistown; two brothers, H. George Miller and wife Doris of McVeytown, Gary W. Miller of Lewistown; two sisters-in-laws, Peggy Miller of Lewistown, Linda Miller Dickson od McVeytown; six grandchildren, Brittany, Chase, and Benjamin Miller, Victoria Purvis and husband Kyle, Jason Lynn Jr., Elizabeth Lynn; and one great granddaughter, Tatania Purvis.
   Preceding him in death were a daughter, Ginger L. Miller; two brothers, Clifford T. Miller, Ronald E. Miller; and a sister-in-law, Linda T. Miller.
   Early in life he was employed at the American Viscose Corp., and later retired from the engineering department of Standard Steel with over 30 years of service.
   Norman was a member of the Pine Glen Church of the Brethren where he served as a deacon and on numerous church committees.
   He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and caring for his many pets, especially Miss Piggy.
   A loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, his most cherished time was spent with his grandchildren.
   A funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 30, 2021 at the Pine Glen Church of the Brethren with Pastor Randy Fiske officiating.  Interment will be in Pine Glen Cemetery.
   A viewing will be held from 1:30 p.m. until the time of service Thursday at the church.  
   Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.
