Nancy J. Orr, 82, of West Holiday Street, McVeytown, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at her home.
Born Jan. 18, 1939 in Harrisburg, she was a daughter of the late Marlin K. and Jean L. (Spangler) Lingle. Her husband, Gary L. Orr, preceded her in death on Nov. 30, 1998.
Surviving are: a son, R. Michael Nordai of Middletown; a daughter, Denise L. Hahm of Harrisburg; a brother, Ronald M. Lingle of Camp Hill; a sister, Dona Yedlock of Harrisburg; three grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
Preceding her in death was a son, Scott A. Orr, on Dec. 18, 1996.
A homemaker, she also had worked as an operator for Bell Telephone in Harrisburg.
Nancy was a member of the Wayne United Methodist Church and the Adult Sunday School Class. She was also active with the United Methodist Youth and served as a lay reader and choir member.
She was a member of the Newton-Wayne Fire Co. Auxiliary and the McVeytown Ambulance Association.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 13, 2021 at the Wayne United Methodist Church with Pastor Kim Cartwright officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery.
