Mary M. (Engleka) Brumbaugh

   Mary M. Brumbaugh, 85, of McVeytown, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 11, 2024 at William Penn Healthcare in Lewistown.

   Born Dec. 13, 1938 in Berlin, Pennsylvania, she was a daughter of the late Eugene W. and S. Marie (McCabe) Engleka.  Her husband, John S. Brumbaugh, preceded her in death on April 30, 2004.

   Also preceding her in death was a daughter, Lindsey A. Koch, on Dec. 1, 2007; a brother, Kenneth Engleka; and a longtime companion, Willis Kauffman.

   Surviving are:  nine children, Colleen Basore of Bedford, Sheila Weiss of Louisville, Kentucky, Janie Snyder and husband David of Lewistown, Jo-Nell Wagner and husband Todd of Newport, Susan Wilson and husband Patrick of Lewistown, Sharon Hess and husband Crist of Newport, M. Darlene Hollenbaugh and husband Chad of Strattanville, Johnny Brumbaugh and wife Katina of McClure, Jeremy Brumbaugh of Lewistown; 17 grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren.

   A homemaker, Mary also had worked at the Malta Home in Granville.

   Her greatest joy was time spent with her family.

   Services will be private with interment in Mattawana Cemetery, McVeytown.
