Marlin R. Whary Jr.

   Marlin R. Whary Jr., 43, of Walnut St., Sunbury, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 23, 2024 at his home.

   He was born on Oct. 13, 1980 in Harrisburg.

   His wife, Amanda J. (Ritchey) Whary, whom he married April 17, 2010, survives along with four daughters, Molly Stahl of Sunbury, Kitana Harper of Sunbury, Alexia PivaVieira of Brazil, and Elena Mendoza Ramos of Spain.

   Also surviving are his father, Marlin R. Whary Sr. and wife Terri of McAlisterville.

   Preceding him in death was his mother, Bonita D. (Schrader) Whary.

   He was employed as a CNA at Nottingham Village in Northumberland.

   Marlin was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Sunbury.

   He was an avid collector of coins and jewelry; and enjoyed puzzles and video games.

   A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 28, 2024 at Harshbarger Funeral Home, 3 South Market St., McVeytown, with Mr. Bradley "Doc" Kauffman officiating.  Interment will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Mattawana.

   A viewing will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service Friday at the funeral home.
