Mabel R. "Ruth" (Snook) Hesser

   Mabel R. "Ruth" Hesser, 87, of U.S. Highway 522 North, Lewistown, passed away on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at her home.
   BornApril 20, 1933 in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late Lester M.J. and Flora G. (Fernberg) Snook.  Her husband, Charles R. Hesser Sr., preceded her in death on Sept. 24, 1992.
   Also preceding her in death was a daughter, Virginia L. Hesser; two sons-in-law, Terry Harshbarger, Vernon Reinhart; three brothers, Bill, Larry, and Paul Snook; and two sisters, Arlene Everly and Etta Haubrick.
   Surviving are: six children, Debra I. Goss and husband Duane of McClure, Pamela R. Hesser of Lewistown, Diane E. Harshbarger of Lewistown, Ruby K. Hesser of Lewistown, Charles R. Hesser Jr. and companion Wanda J. Peffer of McClure, Leuraine M. Hesser and wife Sue of Lewistown; a sister, Patsy M. Knepp and husband Gary of McClure; Nine grandchildren, Jim, Jason, Amanda, Crystal, Danielle, Tasha, Desiree, Katelynn, Raina; 10 great grandchildren; and one great great granddaughter.
   A homemaker, she  enjoyed crossword puzzles, crocheting, pinochle, vacationing, and spending time at camp with her family. 
   A public viewing will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. on Friday Feb. 12, 2021 at Harshbarger Funeral Home, 3 South Market St., McVeytown.
   Funeral services will be private with her nephew, Mr. Brian Haubrick, as speaker.  Interment will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Mattawana.
