Linda L. (Harshbarger) Bailey

  Linda L. Bailey, 78, of Ridge Rd., McVeytown, went to be with the Lord while surrounded by her family on Friday, January 29, 2021 at her home.
   Born Oct. 21, 1942 in Mattawana, she was a daughter of the late John I. and Helen V. (Settle) Harshbarger.  Her husband, Kenneth L. Bailey, whom she married Sept. 6, 1958, survives.
   Also surviving are:  four children, Clifford D. Bailey and wife Joyce of McVeytown, Ashley S. Bailey of Mattawana, Leslie K. Stimely and husband Brad of McVeytown, Michael L. Bailey and wife Amy of Lewistown; nine siblings, Audrey J. Stinnett of Stuarts Draft, VA, Nancy J. Yoder of McVeytown, Delmer L. Harshbarger and wife Bonnie of McVeytown, Deborah M. Dickerson and husband Robert of Naples, FL, Larry E. Harshbarger and wife Susan of Lewistown, Carol L. Sunderland of Palm Bay, FL, Dennis M. Harshbarger and wife Wanda of Lewistown, Rosalie A. Freed and husband Richard of McVeytown, Thomas M. Harshbarger and wife Paula of Mattawana; six grandchildren, Nick, Chris, Shelby, Justin, Courtney, and Hunter Bailey; five great grandchildren, Damon, Rylan, Alexia, Brianna, and Bailey.
   Preceding her in death were four brothers, Russell, Marlin, Glen, and John Harshbarger.
   She was employed for many years at the former Scotty's Fashions, and last worked at Skills Inc., both in Lewistown.
   Linda was a member of the McVeytown United Methodist Church and enjoyed baking, traveling, and shopping.  Most of all she loved time spent with her family.
   The family is very appreciative of the wonderful care she received at her home and wishes to thank her daughter Leslie Stimely, Kelly Rodkey, Emma Swarey, Arlene Kanagy, Jody Roles, and her hospice aides and nurses.
   A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2021 at Harshbarger Funeral Home, 3 South Market St., McVeytown, with Rev. William Esborn officiating.  Interment will be in Juniata Memorial Park, Lewistown.
   A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
