Jane E. (Specht) Yorks

      Jane E. Yorks, 71, of Schoolhouse Road, McVeytown, transitioned to her heavenly home on Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at her home.
   Born May 11, 1951 in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late William Specht and the late Ruth (Hook) Thompson.  Her husband, Charles W. Yorks Sr., preceded her in death on March 4, 2005. 
   Also preceding her in death was her stepmother, Dorothy Specht; and her stepfather, Cloyd Thompson.
   Surviving are:  a daughter, Billie J. Williams and husband Robert C. Williams Sr. of Magnolia, Delaware; a son, Charles W. Yorks Jr. of Lewistown; two sisters, Kathy Haubrick and husband Robert, Crystal Erb and husband Elmer, both of McClure; two stepsisters, Patty Wilson, Dottie Thompson, both of Lewistown; six grandchildren, Kyle, Chase,and Erynn Yorks, Taylor, Robert Jr., and Mackenzie Williams; and one great granddaughter, Amelia Moore.
   Jane was employed as a bus driver for J&D's Busing.
   She enjoyed traveling and crocheting.
   A celebration of Jane's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 11, 2023 in the fellowship hall of the McVeytown Presbyterian Church.  Pastor Kurtis Swisher will officiate.   A graveside service will also be held at 10:00  a.m. on Monday, Feb. 13, 2023 at Juniata Memorial Park in Lewistown.
