Jane Ann (Areeda) Brown

   Jane Ann Brown, 72, of Lewistown, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 27, 2024 at William Penn Healthcare in Lewistown.

   Born April 15, 1951 in Carlisle, she was a daughter of the late George R. and Verletta E. (Perschau) Areeda Sr.  Her husband, Timothy C. Brown, whom she married July 25, 1970, preceded her in death on Feb. 9, 2017.

   Also preceding her in death was a brother, George R. Areeda Jr.

   Surviving are: cousins, Cathy Conner and husband Mark of McVeytown, Teresa Dorman and husband John of Duncannon; brother and sister-in-laws, Sam Brown and wife Jean of North Pole, Alaska, Judy Brown of Spanaway, Washington, Bernadette Heister and husband Pete of McVeytown, Charles Harshbarger and wife Bonnie of of Lewistown, Wendy Brown Kirk and husband Ken of Blairs Mills; and many nieces and nephews.

   Early in life she was employed at Rea & Derick Drugstore in Lewistown, and later worked for many years in the office of Overhead Door Corp., Lewistown.

   Jane enjoyed her many animals, and reading and writing poetry.

   A graveside committal service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2024 at Pleasant View Cemetery, Mattawana, with Mr. John Massey officiating.  Immediately following there will be a time of sharing and fellowship luncheon at the Rothrock Playground Community Building, 5566 US Highway 522 South, McVeytown.
