James E. Delamarter

   James E. Delamarter, 73, of U.S. Highway 522 South, McVeytown, passed away on Friday, December 24, 2021 at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.
   Born Aug. 24, 1948 in Ellenville, New York, he was a son of the late Edwin and Bernice Delamarter.
   Also preceding him in death were two sons, Toby L. Delamarter, Eric J. Delamarter; and a sister, Kathy Pennington.
   Surviving are:  a son, Jason L. Delamarter of Lewistown; two granddaughters, Mara E. Delamarter, Hailey R. Delamarter; one great granddaughter, Oaklee Mendez; and a niece, Cathy Sue Weston of Lewistown.
   A U.S. Army veteran, he served from 1968 to 1971 during the Vietnam War era.
   He was employed at New Holland in Belleville for many years, and later retired as a driver from Zimmerman Truck Lines in Mifflintown.
   Jim enjoyed collecting and dealing in antiques, stamps, and coins.
   Services will be private.
