H. Jeanne (Rittenhouse) Zong

   Born Sept. 15, 1933 in McVeytown, she was a daughter of the late Edward A. and Mary V. (Miller) Rittenhouse.  Her husband, Walter S. "Bud" Zong Jr., preceded her in death on Jan. 14, 2008.

   Also preceding her in death was a son, Daniel B. Zong; a daughter, Nancy E. Zong; and all of her six siblings.

   Surviving are:  four children, Douglas E. Zong and wife Deborah of McVeytown, Walter S. "Buddy" Zong III of Atlas, Melanie D. Baxter and husband Matthew of McVeytown, Mark D. Zong and wife Beth of McVeytown; eight grandchildren, Douglas Zong, Matthew Dunmire, Erica Evenson, Derek Dunmire, Cody Zong, Whitney Dalton, Tyler Zong, Dylan Zong; 17 great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren.

   A retired LPN, she formerly was employed by Dr. Malhotra in Lewistown.

   Jeanne was a member of the McVeytown Presbyterian Church.

   A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 16, 2022 at Harshbarger Funeral Home, 3 South Market St., McVeytown, with Rev. Jeffrey Fisher officiating.  Interment will be in Juniata Memorial Park, Lewistown.  

   A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service Monday at the funeral home.
