Glendolene Martha (Curfman) Hartley Aurand

  Glendolene Martha Curfman Hartley Aurand, 96, of Mountain Lane, McVeytown, passed away on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at her home.
   Born April 18, 1926 in Huntingdon County, she was a daughter of the late Edgar and Eunice (Berkstresser) Park, and her father, the late Gilbert Curfman.
   Her first husband, Paul D. Hartley, preceded her in death in 1970 after 21 years of marriage.  Her second husband, Renno B. Aurand, preceded her in death in 2004 after 27 years of marriage.
   Also preceding her in death was a son, Kenneth E. Hartley; a daughter, Marjorie Aurand; a son-in-law, M. Lynn Howe; and all five of her siblings, Melvin Park, Ruth Garlock, Lena Rosenbery, Dyral Valentine, and Naomi Skipper.
   Surviving are:  three children, Carol A. Howe of McVeytown, Gail L. Gibbons and husband Steve of Lewistown, Patsy Aurand of Lewistown; a daughter-in-law, Terry Hartley of Lewistown; six grandchildren, Shawn Howe and wife Dee, Ryan Howe and wife Jenn, Nicole Kline and husband Bill, Jason Mowry and companion Valerie, Ashley Hartzler and husband Kevin, Anne Hartley and fiance Phil; eight great grandchildren, Kyle Kline, Ian Hartzler, Dylan Gibbons, Tyler Kline, Rowan Mowry, Derek Mowry, Elena Howe, Porter Howe, and Madison Hartzler.
   Employed at American Viscose Tire Fabric and Polyester for 46 years, she retired in 1990.
   She was a member of Centre Union Church and attended Pine Glen Church of the Brethren.
   Glendolene loved time spent with her family, especially her great grandchildren; and enjoyed spending every winter since 1990 at her home in Florida.  In her final months she was lovingly cared for by the nurses and aides of UPMC Hospice.
   A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 27, 2022 at Harshbarger Funeral Home, 3 South Market St., McVeytown, with Pastor Kurtis Swisher officiating.  Interment will be at Juniata Memorial Park, Lewistown.
   A viewing will be held from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service Friday at the funeral home.
