Franklin J. Davidheiser, 83, of Lewistown, passed away at 5;45 a.m. on Friday, February 19, 2021 at his home.
Born July 20, 1937 in Lewistown, he was a son of the late Charles E. and Willa (Pecht) Davidheiser. His wife, Shirley L. (Shottsberger) Davidheiser, whom he married July 20, 1957, survives.
Also surviving are: a son, Timothy Davidheiser and wife Linda of Ohio; a daughter, Deborah Sipe and husband Dean of Lewistown; three sisters, Edith Nipple, Margaret Houtz, Mary Aumiller; three grandchildren, Emily LaMarca and husband Ben Rosenquist of State College, Sarah Sipe of Rochester, NY, and Christopher Sipe of Lewistown.
Preceding him in death were four brothers, Wilbur, Nelson, Donald, and Roy Davidheiser; and one sister, Evelyn "Dolly" Kerstetter.
He retired from the engineering department of Standard Steel in Burnham.
Frank was a member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church, McVeytown Lions Club, McVeytown Lodge #376 F&AM, Civil War Lodge # 1865 F&AM of Virginia, and Valley of Altoona Scottish Rite NMJ.
He was also a member of the Mifflin County Historical Society, the Towpath Society, the Senior Extension Group of 4H, and the Civil War Roundtable in Boalsburg.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
