Dorothy L. "Dottie" (Wagner) McKnight

   Dorothy L. "Dottie" McKnight, 76, of Cutman Drive, McVeytown, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at her home.

   Born Nov. 26, 1949, in Allensville, she was a daughter of the late Walter R. and Geraldine M. (Shehan) Wagner.  Her husband of 59 years, David J. McKnight Sr., whom she married on June 30, 1966, survives.

   Also surviving are:  two sons, David J. McKnight Jr. and wife Kuniko of McClure, Andy A. McKnight and wife Becky of McClure; three siblings, Lee Wagner of McVeytown, Hulda McCartle and husband Herb of McVeytown, James Wagner and wife Amy of Huntingdon; two grandchildren, Miya McKnight and David J. McKnight III.

   She was preceded in death by four siblings, William Wagner, Marie Reed, Mary Wagner, and Ruth Wagner.

   Dottie was a homemaker and a member of the Strodes Mills Baptist Church.  She also served as a Sunday School teacher and helped with school release time at the church.

   A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 5, 2026, at the Strodes Mills Baptist Church with Pastor Jonathan God officiating.  Interment will be in Spring Run Cemetery, McVeytown.

   A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 4, 2026, at the Strodes Mills Baptist Church.

   In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to UPMC Family Hospice, 20 Sheraton Dr., Altoona, PA  16601.
