Charlotte E. "Betsy" (Adams) Fisher

   Charlotte E. "Betsy" Fisher, 90, of U.S. Highway 522 South, McVeytown, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.
   Born July 30, 1931 in Mattawana, she was a daughter of the late Chester D. and Carrie E. (Moist) Adams.  Her husband, Clifton C. Fisher, preceded her in death on Dec. 9, 1976.
   A longtime companion, George Macknair, also preceded her in death.  The last of her immediate family, she was predeceased by eleven siblings, Dora Zeiders, Blanche Adams, Mary Settle, Homer Adams, Susie Heimbach Colledge, Myles Adams, Grace Mizerek, Florence Weaver, Annie Adams, Melvin Adams, Richard Adams; a grandson, Clifton Fisher, and his longtime companion, Mindy Day.
   Surviving are:  six children, Pamela S. French and husband Timothy of McVeytown, Diane L. Rittenhouse and husband William Jr. of McVeytown, Jerry L. Fisher and wife Linda of Mattawana, Jackie A. Fisher of McVeytown, Peggy A. Andrews and husband Charlie of McVeytown, Annette M. Brown and husband John of Spring Mills; twelve grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren.  She was also expecting her first great great grandchild in 2022.
   Betsy was employed at Fisher Electronics and Scotty's Fashions before retiring from Skills, Inc.
   She was a member of Calvary Bible church in Lewistown, and also attended Way Bible Church in McVeytown.
   Betsy enjoyed traveling, gardening, and most of all time spent with her family and friends.
   A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 28, 2022 at Harshbarger Funeral Home, 3 South Market St., McVeytown, with Pastor Bob Marsh officiating.  Interment will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Mattawana.
   A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
