Charles A. Bollinger, 81, of San Francisco, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 4, 2025 after being struck by a car while walking.
Born June 23, 1943 in Newton Hamilton, he was a son of the late Charles K. and Alice R. (Boozel) Bollinger.
Surviving are: a son, Nigel C. Bollinger of San Francisco; two sisters, Susan C. Civitts and husband Kenneth of McVeytown, Dolores J. Keller and husband Gifford of McAlevy's Fort; and numerous nieces and nephews.and their families.
Charles was a 1961 graduate of Rothrock High School and served four years in the U.S. Air Force.
Before retiring he was employed as a proofreader and editor at several newspapers in San Francisco and San Jose.for many years.
Charles was a beloved father, son, and brother; as well as an avid reader.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
