Carol L. (Rhodes) Hayes

   Carol L. Hayes, 75, of Ferguson Valley Road, McVeytown, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.

   Born Feb. 25, 1948 in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late Glenn H. and Alma R. (Krepps) Rhodes.  Her husband, Larry "Max" Hayes Sr., whom she married Sept. 19, 1970, survives.

   Also surviving are:  a daughter, Tammy L. McMullen and husband Paul of Mifflintown;  a son, Larry M. Hayes Jr. and wife Jennifer of Belleville; five siblings, Gene C. Rhodes and wife Patricia of Spring Run, Barry L. Rhodes of Houtzdale, Pamela S. Schreiner and husband Michael of Lititz, Daryl E. Rhodes and wife Patty of McVeytown, Linda A. Kratzer of McVeytown; two grandchildren, Glenn E. McMullen, Megan F. Martin and husband Korey; and one great grandson, Bentley K. Martin.

   Preceding her in death were two brothers, Gary and Roy Rhodes.

   She retired from Raystown Development Services and was previously employed at Tom Leonard Fire Restoration.

   Carol enjoyed playing bingo and loved time spent with her family.

   A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at Harshbarger Funeral Home, 3 South Market St., McVeytown.  Interment will be in Pine Glen Cemetery.

   A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, April 21, 2023 at the funeral home.
