Carl D. Hopple

   Carl D. Hopple, 83, of Big Ridge Road, Lewistown, passed away on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at William Penn Healthcare in Lewistown.

   Born June 3, 1942, in McVeytown, he was a son of the late Carl W. and Mary E. (Aurand) Hopple.  His wife, Donna M. (Kirk) Hopple, whom he married June 13, 1959, preceded him in death on April 27, 2025.

   Also preceding him in death were two brothers, Larry Hopple, Howard "Sonny" Hopple; a grandson, Ricky Rhodes Jr.; and a great great grandson, Carson Felmlee.

   Surviving are:  four children, Steve Hopple and wife Dawn of McClure, Carl Hopple and wife Barb of Beavertown, Lynn Rhodes and husband Ricky of Lewistown, Paula Peachey of Selinsgrove; three siblings, Katherine "Sue" Woomer and husband David of Aiken, South Carolina, Richard Hopple and wife Nancy of Lewistown, Donna Moore of Lewistown; 10 grandchildren; 4 step grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren, step great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.

   Carl was employed by HRI Inc. as a surveyor and supervisor for 37 years and was an avid hunter.

   A funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 21, 2025, at Harshbarger Funeral Home, 3 South Market St., McVeytown, with Rev. Jeannine Leister officiating.  Interment will be in Juniata Memorial Park, Lewistown.

   A viewing will be held from 12:30 p.m. until the time of service Friday at the funeral home.
