Brenda K. (Sherwood) Barraclough

   Brenda K. Barraclough, 80, of Scenic Drive, Lewistown, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2025, at her home.

   Born Aug. 29, 1945, in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late Richard L. and Betty M. (Miller) Sherwood.  Her husband, Richard Barraclough Sr., whom she married in 1966, preceded her in death on Jan. 14, 2019.

   Also preceding her in death was a sister, Linda Kinzer; and two grandsons, Richard Barraclough III and Geoffrey Goss.

   Surviving are:  a son, Richard Barraclough Jr. and wife Karoline of McVeytown; a daughter, Amy M. Barraclough and husband Ronald Hook of McVeytown; a sister, Connie Troutman and husband Gary of Middleburg; a grandson, Seth Goss and wife Maddie; three great grandchildren, Mason, Olivia, and Cole Goss.

   She retired as a supervisor from General Electric in Lewistown, and also worked as a tax preparer for H&R Block.

   Brenda enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and researching her family tree.

   A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 5, 2025, at Harshbarger Funeral Home, 3 South Market St., McVeytown, with Pastor Clair Diven officiating.  Interment will be in Juniata Memorial Park, Lewistown.

   A viewing will be held from 10 a.m. until the time-of-service Friday at the funeral home.
