Brandon K. Moist, 26, of Porter Ridge Lane, Manassas, Virginia, and formerly of McVeytown, passed away on Saturday, December 5, 2020 at his home.
Born Dec. 25, 1993 in McVeytown, he was a son of Brian K. and Angela M. (Winn) Moist of McVeytown.
Also surviving is his paternal grandfather, Blair Moist and wife Virginia, of McVeytown.
Preceding him in death were his paternal grandmother, Lois (Stewart) Moist; and his maternal grandparents, Robert W. Winn and Karen J. (Keister) Winn.
He was a graduate of Mifflin County High School and Shippensburg University, before earning his Master's Degree from American University in Washington DC. He was employed as a senior research analyst for Integrity Risk International in Reston, VA.
Brandon attended Calvary Bible Church in Lewistown.
An avid history buff and passionate reader, he was a Civil War reenactor in both Pennsylvania and Virginia; and served as a volunteer tour guide at Bristoe Station Battlefield in Virginia.
Brandon loved time spent with his family and group of friends that were like brothers and sisters to him. He enjoyed tailgating Penn State football games, and caring for his cat, Dany.
Private interment will be in Mattawana Cemetery, McVeytown.
A public memorial service is being planned for a future date.
