Betty J. Renninger, 92, of McVeytown, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 8, 2024 at William Penn Healthcare in Lewistown.
Born Nov. 4, 1931 in Mattawana, she was a daughter of the late Ira E. and Mable E. (Miller) Miller. Her husband, Roy E. Renninger, preceded her in death on Feb. 2, 2000.
Also preceding her in death was a son, Carl, on Aug. 11, 1960; brothers and sisters, Raymond, Walter, Paul, Floyd, Margaret Kauffman, Alice Dunmire, Esther Ritchey, Sarah French, Marie Harshbarger: several infant siblings: and a special friend and niece, Delores J. Kauffman.
Surviving are: four children, Deborah Sweitzer, John Renninger and wife Cindy, Terry Renninger and wife Sue; Sharon Devore: eight grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren, Clio and Jaxson.
She attended Rothrock High High School and was a member of the McVeytown United Methodist Church.
Betty enjoyed cooking, baking, reading, and taking trips. Most of all she loved her family, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.
A public viewing will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 12, 2024 at Harshbarger Funeral Home, 3 South Market St., McVeytown.
Private interment will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Mattawana, with Pastor Kim Cartwright officiating.
