Betty L. (Donahey) Dunmire

  Betty L. Dunmire, 85, formerly of Aspen Drive, Lewistown, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 4, 2022 at Embassy of Hearthside in State College.
   Born April 11, 1937 in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late Wesley M. and Agnes B. (Cavanaugh) Donahey.  Her husband, Wilson R. "Ray" Dunmire, whom she married Feb. 25, 1956, preceded her in death on Feb. 18, 2021.
   Also preceding her in death was a daughter, Cheryl L. (Dunmire) Beaver; and two sisters, Ethel Goss and Thelma Crosson.
   Surviving are:  two daughters, Cathy A. (Dunmire) Wilson and husband William of Lewistown, Connie L. (Dunmire) Wise Reeder and husband Chester of Lewistown; two grandchildren, Tasha L. Zook and husband Norman, Ray E. Wise; and one great granddaughter, Alaina Zook.
   She was formerly employed at Danks in Lewistown, and later retired from Kmart in Burnham.
   Betty was a member of the Centre Union Church in Lewistown.
   A wonderful homemaker, she loved cooking and baking for her family.  She also enjoyed playing piano and was the children's choir director at Strodes Mills Baptist for many years.
   A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2022 at Harshbarger Funeral Home, 3 S. Market St., McVeytown, with Pastor Kurtis Swisher officiating.  Interment will be in Juniata Memorial Park, Lewistown.
   A viewing will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service Wednesday at the Funeral Home.
