Barry L. Rhodes

   Barry L. Rhodes, 73, of McVeytown, passed away on Monday, May 29, 2023.

   Born Aug. 2, 1949 in McVeytown, he was a son of the late Glenn H. and Alma R. (Krepps) Rhodes.

   Also preceding him in death were three siblings, Gary Rhodes, Roy Rhodes, and Carol Hayes.

   Surviving are:  a daughter, Crystal N. Rhodes and companion Derrick Kephart of Lewistown; a grandson, Kai Knepp; four siblings, Gene C. Rhodes and wife Patricia of Spring Run, Pamela S. Schreiner and husband Michael of Lititz, Daryl E. Rhodes and wife Patty of McVeytown, and Linda A. Kratzer of McVeytown.

   He was a graduate of Mt. Union Area High School and a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War.

   Barry was an avid reader and last worked for Sauder's Eggs in Lititz.  He was previously employed at Harbison-Walker Refractories in Mt. Union.

   A visitation will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. on Friday, June 2, 2023 at Harshbarger Funeral Home, 3 South Market St., McVeytown.  The visitation will be followed by a time for friends and family to share their memories.
