Amos U. Zook, 83, of Slate Lane, McVeytown, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 16, 2022 at his home.
Born Aug. 20, 1939 in Belleville, he was a son of the late Israel and Mattie (Yoder) Zook. His wife, Anna Mary (Hostetler) Zook, whom he married Dec. 10, 1964, survives.
Also surviving are: a daughter, Marie; a son, Ron; three siblings, Urie Zook and wife Rachel, Katie Detweiler, Salinda Byler; a sister-in-law, Sarah Zook; and three grandchildren, Angelita, Alicia, and Lucas Zook.
He was preceded in death by a son, Wilmer Zook; two brothers, Israel and Jonas; a brother-in-law, Norman Byler; and a sister-in-law, Ella Zook.
Amos was a self-employed farmer and a member of the Gospel Light Fellowship in McVeytown.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 20, 2022 at Gospel Light Fellowship, 234 Little Brick Rd., McVeytown, with Ministers Dan M. Stoltzfus, Dan E. Stoltzfus, and Sam Peight Jr. officiating. Interment will be in Gospel Light Cemetery.
A viewing will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2022 at the church.
