Alice J. (Knepp) Rothrock

   Alice J. Rothrock, 87, of McVeytown, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at Brookline Healthcare and Rehabilitation in Mifflintown.
   Born Jan. 17, 1935 in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late John H. and Augusta Mae (Taylor) Knepp Sr.  Her husband, Calvin E. Rothrock, preceded her in death on June 14, 2007.
   Also preceding her in death was:  a son, Edward C. Rothrock; a brother, John H. "Hooker" Knepp Jr.; a sister, Christine L. Wilson; a grandson, Bryan Rothrock; and a granddaughter, Cheyann Martin.
   Surviving are:  seven children, Kathy L. Zook of Lewistown, Linda S. Benner and companion Karl Burns of Lewistown, Patricia M. Jones and companion Clarence Weaver of Yeagertown, Carol A. Crosson of Lewistown, Harry D. Rothrock and wife Kathy of Lewistown, Charles W. Rothrock and companion Sharon Winters of McVeytown, Andrew R. Rothrock of Lewistown; a sister, Zelda Rothrock and husband John of McVeytown; a brother, Gerald Knepp and wife Connie of McVeytown;14 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and 6 great great grandchildren.
   A homemaker, she also had been employed at Fisher Electronics in Milroy and as a school bus driver.
   Alice was a very active member of the Spring Run Church of the Brethren in McVeytown and especially enjoyed playing in the church's 100 Harmonica Band.  She also enjoyed gardening and caring for her family.
   A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 15, 2022 at Harshbarger Funeral Home, 3 South Market St., McVeytown, with Pastors Craig and Kate Gandy officiating.  Interment will be in Spring Run Cemetery.
   A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 14, 2022 at the funeral home.
